Service Description

If you want to speed up the drying process we offer a kiln drying service as well. It's a Virginia Tech solar kiln and as such drying time is dependent on the weather. During the winter 4/4 lumber dries in about 6-8 weeks and about 4 weeks in the summer. The thicker the material the longer to dry. This is much faster than air drying which takes about 1 year per inch of thickness. Working with sable, dry wood is the foundation to any successful project.
